As the library media specialist at Batesburg-Leesville High School, one of my favorite things is connecting students with great books.  When a student comes in and tells me how much they dislike reading, it makes me determined to find a book they will absolutely fall in love with...and when that happens, I'm thrilled!

  This is my 34th year in education.  I started out teaching second grade and eventually found my way into the library.  I enjoy being the media specialist because I have the best of both worlds...I get to teach, and I get to share my love of reading with students and teachers.  I am so excited to have this new blogging feature so we can discuss books online...just another way to connect people with books!
